I add this user to the Hyper-V Administrator group (note this user is not part of the administrator group only the Hyper V Admin group, this should be sufficient according to ms documentation). The official documentation ( ) tells me i cannot use a different user account to manage a hyper v server version 2012 and below if i am on Windows 10. No matter how much i try i cannot get it to work using my Windinstalllation. Using my old windows 8 installation the remote management is pain free as per documentation. I have a windows 2012 R2 Hyper v host (hostname SERVER) that i want to remotely manage using my Windinstallation.
